1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Open Source Tickets (“the Service”, “the Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and event organizers who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Open Source Tickets is a self-hosted, open source event ticketing platform. It allows event organizers to create events, issue QR-code tickets by email, manage door teams, and scan tickets at the entrance. Guests may request free tickets to events that have been opened for public requests. The platform is provided at no charge; organizers are responsible for any hosting or infrastructure costs they incur independently.

4. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following activities when using the Service:

• Spamming — sending unsolicited, bulk, or repetitive ticket requests, account registrations, or any other communications intended to flood, abuse, or disrupt the Service.
• Hacking or reverse engineering — attempting to probe, scan, exploit, decompile, or reverse engineer any portion of the Service, its infrastructure, or its underlying systems without explicit written permission.
• Impersonation — impersonating another person, user, organizer, or entity, or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or organization.
• Unauthorized access — attempting to access areas, accounts, databases, or features of the Site that you are not authorized to use, including but not limited to admin panels, other users' accounts, or private event data.
• Interfering with the Service — uploading or transmitting malicious code, conducting denial-of-service attacks, circumventing rate limits or security controls, or otherwise disrupting the normal operation of the Site or Service for other users.
• Using the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.

5. Intellectual Property

The Open Source Tickets source code is released under the MIT License and is freely available for use, modification, and redistribution under the terms of that license. Content you create — event descriptions, banner images, and similar materials — remains your property. By uploading content to the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service on your behalf.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL OPEN SOURCE TICKETS, ITS OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION — ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100 USD).

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Open Source Tickets, its operators, and contributors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third party's rights; or (d) any content you submit, post, or transmit through the Service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account, at our sole discretion, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or engaged in any activity that is harmful to other users, the Service, or third parties. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@opensourcetickets.com. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the United States.
